Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council
Working Together Toward Safe Communities Free From Substance Misuse
What We Do:
COALITION—a pact among individuals or groups, in which they work in collaborative action, joining forces together for a common cause.
The Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council (GSSAC) recognizes the importance of a community-wide effort to reduce substance abuse and violence. Therefore, we are proud and honored to have a coalition of community agencies, policy makers, and citizens who work together to create a positive community environment that supports healthy choices for youth.
This group meets regularly to share resources and create strategies to enhance all prevention efforts throughout the greater Spokane area.
These efforts continue to bring positive changes that support healthy youth and, in turn adults, while strengthening our entire community.
We Need Your Voice On Our Coalition!
If you'd like to be involved in making a difference in our community, we invite you to join us for our next Community Coalition Meeting. Please call GSSAC at (509) 922-8383 for information about the meeting dates/times.
*Currently we are meeting virtually every quarter during the Governor's Stay Home Stay Safe orders. Watch the website for future updates.
